This historical marker, located near a rocky outcropping just feet away from busy High Street (Route 109) in Westwood, notes the location of the opening to a former cave. The cave has been mostly filled in with rock debris, and the small opening that remains resembles an oven.

The text of the marker reads:

Oven Mouth
A Native American Landmark
Also known as Devil's Oven
--------------------------
Mouth of a Tunnel
Leading to an Indian cave
Active during the Colonial period of the Massachusetts Bay Colony
