Begun as a Girl Scout project in 2001, "A Dream Come True" opened in May, 2010. The dream was for a play area that was fully accessible where children with and without limitations could enjoy the same space. The playground has many specialized activities that stimulate all the senses as well as exercising young muscles.
"A Dream Come True" is located approximately 1.3 miles from Exit 245, Interstate 81. Between the interstate and the park are several fast food restaurants, as well as a CVS and a Food Lion.
