The shell of an old Volkswagen Beetle provides the body for a huge spider. The legs were crafted from large tubes, and it's readily apparent this object was crafted with care and attention to detail. The all-black spider has a menacing "mouth" and a series of barbs at various leg joints, much like a real arachnid.
The Roadside America site provides a fair amount of additional detail, and it indicates the former VW repair shop is now used as living space for a small family and a few friends. Note that the gate is typically closed, but family members have been known to give impromptu access and answer questions.
