We came across this small memorial when visiting Deer Creek Campground in Del Puerto Canyon, California. It is located in the picnic area of the the campground.

We did a little bit of research and found out that 44 year old Kenneth D Eberwein, who was killed in a car crash in 2002, was a hazardous materials specialist with Stanislaus County's Department of Environmental Resources. He also served for 10 years as a park ranger at Frank Raines Park, which is, where this memorial is located.
