A great hike is to the summit ridge of Mt St Victoire. There are several routes, the easiest up the backside from the north starting near a lake seen in one of the pictures. This takes you to the Priory chapel, St Venture, and then up to the cross at 946 m (3100 ft). The views are spectacular.
This is a very popular hike. One estimate says 700,000 people hike trails on this mountain each year. Part of the trail is the GR9.
