Directions:
Take exit 182 off of I-90 at Clancy. Follow the signs to Park Lake (along Lump Gulch Rd). Approximately 150m past where the pavement ends, is the turn-off to Sheep Mountain Rd.
Take the first left on Sheep Mtn Rd and stay on this until you see the sign for the Rock Climbing Trailhead.
There is plenty of parking with a fire ring and lots of space for camping.
Some of the climbing routes are bolted, and there are plenty of trees for anchors, but traditional gear will get you everywhere you would want to go. There is also a book "Climbing Central Montana" that describes all the routes.
If you follow the ornage flagging tape, it will lead you to a great area for bouldering as well as some rappelling rocks.
When you're done climbing, head into Clancy for some great food!
