The memorial is rectangular shaped with a glass top which lifts up to insert names into a name "wall", located under the glass. The memorial is dedicated to Chief Frank H. Mathews and was donated by David J. & Jean M. Bergen. The memorial reads In Memory of Our Members. It is attached to the brick wall.

This is one of six station fire houses for Pennsauken, NJ. The cornerstone reads 1964 but also has the dates 1913 & 1924 on it as well. It is just off Haddonfield Road, on the border of Cherry Hill.

The official name of the station today is know as Station 1 - East Pennsauken Fire Company. Organized in 1913, the station was once known as East Pennsauken Volunteer Fire Association No. 1. Overall, the Pennsauken Fire Department has a staff of approximately 135 individuals, 15 career personnel and 120 volunteers, serving the community from six fire stations and the Fire Administration Building.

This is a long brick building with a three bay garage and a cool cupola on top. The abbreviated name of the fire company is located on the center bay door. It reads Township of Pennsauken Fire Department 1. I also saw an EMS bay as well.
