A juvenile mystery, published in 1994, is situated at the slave quarters and main house at Monticello. The detective is the Crozet, VA postmistress Mary Minor "Harry" Haristeen with a tiger cat named Mrs. Murphy. The accuracy of the depiction of Monticello is limited based on a half day's tour, but this is light reading.
