The cut mark appears on a stone marker on the north side of the road on which is written "County Road Boundary" and (vertically) "Parish of Old Radnor". It is exactly on the boundary between England (Herefordshire) and Wales (Powys). Two modern roadsigns on the south side of the road confirm the stone is precisely on the border line. See WM8J9Q for further details.

This is a second order mark cut at 178.6463m above sea level (Newlyn datum). It was last verified in 1971.
