Like many small American cities, Nashua was a booming town in the years which followed the end of World War II. These pictures provide an opportunity to compare the look of downtown Nashua in the early 1950s with the way it appears today.
Notice the Odd Fellows building (the tall building with the green peaked roof) just to right of center. Pictures taken from the intersection near that building are shown in
this nearby Then and Now Waymark. If you look closely at the movie marquee on the far left of the "Then" photograph, you can see that the movie currently playing is the 1953 musical 'Meet Me at the Fair', starring Dan Dailey and Diana Lynn (Scatman Crothers also appeared in the movie). The movie theater is now a bank.
