Flowering Stiletto depicts a 6 foot long stiletto with a flower growing out of it. The sculpture is made of steel. The sculpture was created by Mary Consie of Mesa, AZ. Ms. Consie has said that due to having flat feet, she can not wear small shoes and creates large versions instead. Originally the sculpture was purchased by a resident of Tempe, AZ. The purchaser then donated it to Mesa and dedicated it to his late wife, Jane Binkley, who had a large (in number, not in size) shoe collection.
Flowering Stiletto is located on the NE corner of Main St. and Robson Rd. in downtown Mesa, AZ.
