"Among the hedges bordering the plaza on the east side of the Chicago Historical Society is a large piece of fused metal formed by the Great Chicago Fire. The previous headquarters at Dearborn and Ontario, which the Society occupied from 1896 to 1932 and which currently houses the nightclub Excalibur, also had this relic just outside its entrance. "
