In Natick, in the village called South Natick, there is an iron fence with several mid-size trees slowly consuming it. This fence is along Union Street, near the intersection with Brook Street.

This is a whole family of trees! The trees are along a 100 foot section of the fence in plain sight from Union Street and the sidewalk. They range from a few inches to a foot and a half in diameter. Some trees have fully closed around the fence while others are just getting started.

The trees could be maples or oaks. Both leaves were found in the leaf litter around the trees. This will be confirmed when the leaves come out.

Stopping at the trees is a bit tricky, since the road is very busy and rather narrow at this location. The best thing is to either park on Brook Street (which is even narrower), or park in South Natick and walk approximately 1/4 mile on Union Street to the location.
Type of Tree: Likely maples or oaks (leaves aren't out, yet, to be sure).
