The West Bay Common School No. 13 was built in 1898. The school building constructed of cypress was originally located in Chambers County, Texas. The 18 by 30 foot building originally had a wood shingle roof, this roof was damaged in the hurricane of 1915 and was replaced with metal roofing. The school served grades kindergarten through 7th grade until closed in 1936. The building was relocated to League City in 1992 and now serves as West Bay Common School Children's Museum.
(The original location in Chambers County is not known)
