Here is the ruins of the Greenwood Iron Furnaces uses in the 1800's to produce Iron. The site has been excavated and one of the furnaces still stands. There are other landmarks at in Greenwood state park, The old mansion, the Church, the blacksmith shop, and the nursery. This area is maintained by DNCR. there are signs around the area explaining the iron processes and the diffrent buildings. There is also a lake with a beach, picnic area and camping.
