In the section of Needham known as Needham Heights (once known as Highlandville), stands a brick structure with two major wings, and a tall, white spire. Various signs around identify this structure as the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church. This church has an active congregation including activities for youths and mission support.
Not much was found about the building itself. The church's web site does not have a history page. The methodist faith in Needham dates back to 1762, when Jesse Lee preached in the town. in 1796, the first meeting house was established.
