The Guardian is a 6 ft. sculpture of a Native American, located by the Bizzell Clock Tower on the OU campus. The figure is holding an approx. 7 1/2 ft. long spear in his right hand, and a shield in his left. He is wearing a necklace and a long loincloth. There are feathers in his headband. The sculpture is on top of a small concrete base.
This is a duplicate sculpture of The Guardian that is located on top of the Oklahoma State Capital Building in OKC.
