This handsome marble G.A.R monument is located in the middle of the Park Cemetery. The column is approximately 25 foot tall and is surrounded by graves of Civil War Veterans. Topped by a large globe, the monument features the family names of four Civil War generals with the verse of the "Bivovac of the Dead", a quote from Lincoln, a verse from Lady of the Lake by Sir Walter Scott, and the fourth side has the dedication inscription.
