The Dodge Center School was built in 3 phases: First was the original red brick building completed in the 1890s. Second, a gymnasium and additional classrooms were added in 1936, and lastly, an elementary school was built in 1958.
The original 1890 section was demolished in 1972, leaving behind what is still standing today. The building is currently privately owned and houses apartments, small businesses and a Latter-day Saint church.
