In 1892, a Jewish colony was established in the nearby village of Hirsch, along what is now Provincial Highway 18, running east and west. Located approx. 12 kms east of Bienfait, the little cemetery has been designated as an historic site, burials are no longer allowed. The cemetery has approx. 50 graves, and appears to be very well maintained. Situated in the RM of Coalfields #4, NW 32-02-05 W2.
