The text of the Plaque reads:
“On or near this site stood the Sessions House where the Parliament of Barbados first met in June 1639. This monument was erected to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Parliament and was unveiled by The Rt. Hon. L. Erskine Sandiford, M.P. Prime Minister June 26, 2989.”
