This 15' x 48' mural is one of five Lance Hunter murals to receive the Presidents Award for Best Public Improvement Project from the Texas Downtown Association in 2001. There is plenty of nearby street parking. Lance Hunter is an art professor at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

The mural shows the early days of telephone communication with a woman using a phone and an operator at work. E.J. Mantooth is also depicted in the mural as well as Lufkin - Conroe Communications (LCC) representation.
