The Osceola County Courthouse has the reputation as being the oldest continuously active remaining courthouse in the state. This is due in part that the original courthouse was renovated in 2001 and the third floor of the building court sessions are still conducted. The new facility houses the Courts, Court Administration, the Clerk of Court, the State Attorney, the Public Defender, and ancillary services of the Sheriff.
