Geldermalsen must have had a milling windmill way back in 1311.

The present mill was built in 1848 after an earlier one on this same spot had become dilapidated.

In 1928 the municipality of Geldermalsen procured this mill.

It was restored in 1941, 1977 and 1993.

It contains a shoip where flour can be purchased on Saturdays from 10 am - 4 pm and on other days after arrangement.
