The datasheet for Hopewell A describes the location as follows:

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1942 3.4 MI SE FROM HOPEWELL. 3.4 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 10 FROM THE NORFOLK AND WESTERN RAILWAY STATION AT HOPEWELL, PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, THENCE 1.2 MILES NORTH ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 36, AT THE HOPEWELL AIRPORT, AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE FIELD, 160 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE OFFICE, 54 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 5 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF AN IRON-PIPE FENCE, AND 0.8 FOOT EAST OF A WHITE WOODEN WITNESS POST. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED HOPEWELL A 1942 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.

The mark is readily accessible, but the Hopewell airport, the office, and the witness post no longer exist. The area in now a residential neighborhood called Jordan on the James. The mark is located at the northwest corner of the Richard Bland burial site, a few feet outside the fenced area.
