The Wayne National Forest, covers much of southeastern Ohio, and the headquarters is powered by several arrays of photovoltaic panels that cover the roofs of the buildings at that location. There are 302 panels in all. The nameplate rating for each panel is 180 watts at 25.9 volts and 6.95 amps. At full sunlight, this system is rated for approx 54,360 watts of power. Panels were manufactured by Evergreen solar - Model ES-180-RL
The staff member whom I talked with was very friendly, but was unable to tell me if the system uses battery storage, or is an on-line grid-connected system, or other details. Unfortunately, the person who did know, was not in that day.
