I stumbled on this site while looking for another place the other day. I went back today for more pictures. I thought it was on the National Historical Registry, but it turns out it wasn't.
It's at one of 3 orphanages I know of built in Pueblo in the early 1900's. I wonder what happened that they needed them?
The Rosa Parks bus is not the original, but from the same time period. I got a new appreciation for her courage after seeing a similar bus and googling her story.
Anyway, the statue is the topic, but MLK doesn't need an introduction.
