Gold Star Memorial- "In eternal memory of our sons who gave their lives on the battlegrounds of World War II who lie benath the distant seas and on foreign soil in their graves unknown to man. They are enshrined forever in our hearts."
(**SEE PHOTO**)This Gold Star Memorial is large 9'X9' square concrete structure with two flower cups that is placed in from of a large green hedge in section 3 in the western edge of the park. (FYI: It is only three rows away from a USMC Korean Medal of Honor recipient's grave, Sergeant Dan P. Matthews.) Bronze plaque with commemorative inscriptions and names of WW2 veterans is inside Glen Haven Memorial Park, Sylmar, CA. Glen Haven Memorial Park is a very large park-like valley setting in the foothills of the North East corner of the San Fernando Valley, off the intersections of Lopez and Kagel Canyons Roads.
