The third floor (top floor) looks like a balcony from one of those New Orleans balconies. The building is made of brick. The second floor has a neat three part arched windows with faux balconies. The other windows have iron bars across then of course. There is also some nice decorative brick work as well Volunteers of America operate out of this building. I am not sure why this building is on the NRHP as there are older and significantly more architecturally interesting sites along this street. There are also two entrances to this house, located in the front, on the ends. They look original. Charles S. Boyer lived here from the 1900s to the 1920s. Madeline Palma lived here in 1939. Finally, Howard R. Yocum, lawyer who lived here in the 1950s.
