Cleveland State University supports over 100 fields of study with undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. The campus is located on over 85 acres on the eastern edge of Cleveland's downtown.
The roots of Cleveland State begin with Fenn College of Engineering which began in 1929. In 1964, Fenn College's three buildings, Foster Hall, Fenn Tower, and Stillwell Hall became the starting point for Cleveland State. Today over 40 buildings are a part of the campus.
Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctorate programs are available in a variety of fields including engineering, education, business, science, and urban studies.
The Cleveland Marshall School of Law has a long and distinguished history. It is noted for being the first law school in Ohio to admit women. Its graduates include the first African American mayor of a major city, the first woman member of a bar association, and the first woman appointed to a US Federal bench.
Cleveland State University participates in the Horizon Conference in Sports. Its most notable sports accomplishments are multiple trips to the NCAA mens basketball tournament including the final 16.
