This flag pole is for the Kelowna Yacht Club. It sits on the southwest corner of the club's facitlities which are located northwest of downtown Kelowna, British Columbia.

?2010 marks the 65th year of boating and socializing at Kelowna Yacht Club. With a change to the membership rules in 2006, they accept up to 1025 members from a previous maximum of 800.
An expansion of our moorage facilities was possible as a result of moving their northern breakwater that has allowed for the accomodation of addtional vessels - now over 600 boats. Their moorage basin now offers 20', 25', 30',35' and 40' slips.
The club has competition for sailors with organized racing every Wednesday or Sunday, depending on the time of year and hosts a minimum of two annual regattas.
