This bust of Beethoven was originally sculpted in marble by Ferdinand von Miller II and was dedicated July 6, 1884. The marble bust has been replaced with a resin based replacement due to deterioration of the original.
Beethoven is a German composer and regarded as one of the great composers in music history. He is most well known for his nine symphonies however he also composed several concertos as well as other orchestral music, principally overtures.
