Here stands the only "Muffler" Man in Berkshire County. He stands alone in front of Green Vally Equipment along Rt. 43 in Hancock Mass.


The " Big Man" as we affectionately refer to him is owned by Donald and Judy Whitman and he resides at Green Valley Equipment at the corner of Route 43 and Brodie Mt. Road. His hands are in the standard muffler man position and he had been holding a pitchfork. Green Valley Equipment (which is a farm machinery dealership) purchased the "Big Man" years ago after he had a very eventful life. He had been shot, stolen by college students and had spent some hard time at the local nudist camp. [Kathy Whitman, 01/19/1999]

At one point in time he had a hat, but its no longer with him.
