Holy Trinity Catholic Church - Bloomington, Illinois - posted by SecurB

Holy Trinity Parish was established in 1853. The first church for the parish was a converted Methodist church. In the spring of 1869 a new church building was started but prior to its completion it was completely destroyed by a tornado. It took several years for the parish to recover from that financial lost. In 1878 a new church building was completed. This building was destroyed completely by a fire in 1932. Following this fire the current church was built.

The current church building in Art Deco style and was dedicated in April 1934. The building is well maintained and continues to serve its parish.
Year of construction: 1933
