The house has centrally placed dormers on the north, west and east rook slopes. Walls sheathed with wood siding. It features a shingle roofed veranda supported on turned posts. Windows are one-light double hung and entry doors are centrally located, paneled and contain leaded glass. It features a shingle roofed veranda supported on turned posts. It, like the similar Redfield/Romaine house, is an excellent example of the Colonial Revival style that reflects Benson's importance as a major railroad junction point. It has very few exterior or interior alterations and conveys a high level of architectural integrity.
