All that is left of the old Benson jail that was built at the corner of Huachauca and 5th Street during April-May 1938 are these doors and windows. some of the doors and windows came from the old jail in Courtland, while later, additional doors and windows were obtained form the old jail in the current ghost town of Gleeson. The original Benson jail took 24 days to build in 1938 and 2.5 hours to knock down in 2006. These doors and windows set in this wall section at the Bensoin Museum are all that remains of the old Benson Jail.
