Just outside the main entrance to the main bus station of the southern Thailand town of 'Hat Yai' (various spellings abound) is this worn and not overly high clock tower. Sadly, it is covered with advertising, and the clock does not work. I could find no details of its construction. I suspect that it is abandoned.
The clock sits on a small traffic round about. The traffic is brisk in this area of the town, and, the town itself experiences the occasional Muslim—who seek independence from Buddhist Thailand—terrorist attack. Take care.
