These engrave bricks are found on North Main Street in downtown Akron, Ohio. It is on the site of the Portage Hotel, where the United Rubber Workers (URW) was organized on September 12. 1935. The bricks are, presumably, members of the URW. An interpretive plaque of the URW forms the backdrop of the bricks. In 1995, the United Rubber Workers merged with the United Steelworkers.
