Established in 1908, Natural Bridges is the oldest National Park Service site in Utah and protects some of the finest examples of natural bridges existent.

The Park combines a tree covered mesa with deep sandstone canyons, where the three natural bridges in the Park were formed by meandering streams that cut through the eroded the canyon walls.

The three bridges, named Kachina, Owachomo and Sipapu are located along the meandering one-way Park road, and are viewable from either overlooks or by taking the developed, though in two cases, somewhat difficult trails that lead to each. Standing underneath one of these magnificent natural structures is best the way to truly appreciate their size and beauty. Unfortunately, with an annual visitation of approx. 100,000, not many get to enjoy the bridges up close and personal.
