This sundial is a classic original Zarbula dated 1843 still in excellent condition. SAF 0517404. The dial is on an old farmhouse and sheltered from erosion and sunshine. A morning dial, it declines east of south. This dial, signed (ZGF) and dated (1843), has most of the Zarbula style elements including two exotic birds a honeycomb, hour circle in a square frame, colours, and equatorial line. The colours are still rich, the folk art attractive. Motto "SANS DE SOLIEL, JE NE SUIS RIEN, ET TOI, SANS DIEU TU NE PEUX RIEN. "Without the sun, I am nothing, and you without God can do nothing". The construction lines now show through as the surface has weathered.
The actual location is at Pra Premier is past Val des Pres, the sawmill and Le Serre.
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
