NZ0846 - USCGS V60, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This benchmark is located off Rim Drive about 2 miles east of park headquarters. The benchmark is about 30 feet south of the Rim Drive. The cap is set in a square concrete post about 75 feet west of the east end of thru road cut. The cap was set by the USCGS in 1931 and was marked V60. Road names have changed since published description below.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1938. ABOUT 2.05 MILES EAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 232 FROM THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AT GOVERNMENT CAMP, KLAMATH COUNTY, AT SURVEY STATION 101+36, AT A 4-FOOT CUT, ABOUT 75 FEET FROM THE EAST END OF THE CUT, AND 28.5 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED V 60 1931 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.
