This benchmark is located along the Pinnacles Road, 1.5 miles south of Lost Creek Campground. The benchmark is about 35 feet southwest of the Pinnacles Road centerline, set in a square concrete post rising about 6 inches above ground surface. The cap was set by the USCGS in 1931 and was marked A61.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1931 1.5 MI SE FROM LOST CREEK RANGER STATION. ABOUT 1.5 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG THE EAST ENTRANCE HIGHWAY FROM LOST CREEK RANGER STATION, KLAMATH COUNTY, ABOUT 1.7 MILES NORTHWEST OF THE EAST ENTRANCE TO CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK, AT THE CENTER OF A SMALL CLEARING, AND 37 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY AT SURVEY STATION 552. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED A 61 1931 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.
