Our Children Loved Missed and Remembered
The Angel of Hope
of Southern Illinois.

PSALM 23

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT,
HE MAKES ME LIE DOWN IN GREEN PASTURES
HE LEADS ME BESIDE STILL WATERS, HE RESTORES
MY SOUL,
HE LEADS ME IN PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR
HIS NAME SAKE.

EVEN THOUGH I WALK THOROUGH THE VALLEY OF
THE SHADOW OF DEATH
I FEAR NO EVIL FOR THOU ART WITH ME. THY
ROD AND THY STAFF THEY COMFORT ME.

THOU PREPAREST A TABLE BEFORE ME IN THE
PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES.
THOU ANOINTEST ME HEAD WITH OIL, MY CUP
OVERFLOWS.

SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW
ME IN ALL THE DAYS OF
MY LIFE, AND I SHALL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF
THE LORD FOR EVER.

From their Brochure:
"Our Angel of Hope" in Albion will be a memorial for all who have lost loved ones, child or adult. It will be a place to find healing, hope and peace and love -- a place to find comfort -- "Our Children, Loved, Missed and Remembered"

In February, 2002, Leon & Mary Johnson with Cindy Poppenhager met with the Edwards County Commissioners at their regular monthly meeting to request an area on the courthouse lawn to erect the "Angel of Hope". To our delight the request was granted for an area on the northeast corner of the inside lawn.

A committee was formed to steer "Our Angel of Hope" toward realization. Committee members are: Leon & Mary Johnson, Mike & Cori Copeland, D. Wayne & Kay Roser, Jonathan Hoffee, April Conner, Jeff & Cindy and Jessa Poppenhager, jay & Sharon Walden and Brian Moore. The committee worked closely with the Edwards County Commissioners and kept everyone informed of the progress.
