This 2000 pound bell has become a recognized icon of the freedom we enjoy as American citizens. In it's 260-year history it has been recast twice, relocated several times, and suffered a significant crack that still remains. Today, the Liberty Bell has its own museum here at Independence National Historic Park.

The bell is such a recognizable symbol, it has been reproduced in numerous artistic mediums, including a photograph of twenty-five thousand men who arranged themselves to duplicate the bell - this photo hangs in a nearby display adjacent to the bell, and is included in the gallery here.
