The San Juan Mountains Association (SJMA), sold 29 remarkable larger-than-life-size mountain lion sculptures for Pumas on Parade – an innovative project aptly portrayed as public art for public land...and public benefit. The sculptures were cast in the mold of "On the Alert," an original bronze by Rosetta – a world renowned sculptor currently living Loveland, CO. Subsequently, each lion was painted, adorned or otherwise embellished by a different artist, in effect, using the sculpture as a canvas. In this case the artist was Page Holland, a local Moab artist.
