Located on the hill above Edendale, the Kamahi (Edendale) Scenic Reserve offers a great loop track through thick native bush. Here is is possible to see examples of native podocarp trees: rimu, miro, matai, kahikatea and totara.
In addition, at the starting point is a really great picnic site set into the woods. Here there are views across the Mataura Valley towards the Catlins. At this point you can park your car and wonder off into the bush.
