A formidable brick building once stood on this corner. First it was home to the Eugene High School and then it served as city hall for decades until urban renewal proved its demise. Today the location is home to a Chase Bank.

A casualty of urban renewal this historic building was demolished in the name of "progress" and was replaced with this nondescript retail building.
