Aranga Beach is the location of the trailhead to Maunganui Bluff/Maunganui Mountain, and is fairly remote. A small village is located near the beach (approximately 60 homes).
The beach and its surroundings are good for: Observing shells, also sunbathing, playing, walking, volleyball, bird watching.
