There has been a mention of a watermill in Passenham since post-Roman times. Passenham Mill today is a private residence but has belonged to the Passenham Estate with the nearby Manor House. It was when Lady Brooke sold the estate that the mill became a building in its own right in 1911. However it was on the market again in 1922 and was sold again.
The fees for the mill, manor and three other premises in Passenham were paid to Lord Fitzwilliam of Milton, near Peterborough, and partly to Lord George Cavendish in the 1790s and 1800s by Lord Maynard.
Today the mill is a picturesque residence along this country lane with the city of Milton Keynes only just to the east.
Current Status: Still In Use
Current Use: Private Residence
