The Edward F Brennan Memorial Home, Post 279, in Jacksonville, Illinois, is under a new post commander who is trying to revitalize the post to it's former standing.
Apparently the post was in quite a bit of disrepair. It was known as a "party/drinking" place to go. Most of the members at the time werenot Vetrans.
From what I understand that has all changed now. This cut the membership. But according to post info the membership drive is well on the way.

Year the building was constructed.: Unknown. It looks as though it was built in the late 1970's to early 1980's.
